TikTok’s Events API receives events server-side. It dedupes with TikTok Pixel events on event_id.
1. Create a pixel
TikTok Ads Manager → Assets → Events → Web Events → Set up Web Events. Create a new pixel if you don’t have one. The method is “Events API (Server-side)” — the pixel code can be installed too for browser/server dedup.
2. Generate an access token
On the pixel’s page: Settings → Access Token → Generate. Copy the token; TikTok does not show it again.
3. Paste into eventabee
Destinations → TikTok → Connect. Paste the pixel code and access token. Save.
4. Test events
Toggle Test mode in eventabee and paste the test_event_code from TikTok’s Test Events tab. Trigger events from your storefront — they’ll appear in TikTok’s test events view within ~30 seconds. Turn test mode off when you’re satisfied.
Event mapping
TikTok’s standard events: AddToCart, Purchase, InitiateCheckout, ViewContent, CompleteRegistration, Search, AddPaymentInfo. eventabee maps standard Shopify events to these automatically; custom event names pass through as-is.

Troubleshooting
- Low match quality. Include hashed customer email and phone where available. eventabee auto-hashes when fields are present.
- Events arrive but attribution is missing. Confirm
ttclid(TikTok click ID) and/orttp(TikTok browser cookie) are being captured. eventabee pulls these from the Web Pixel automatically.
